Charles Fosseprez

Charles is from Belgium and now lives in Paris where He is pursuing a PhD from the FdV Doctoral School at CRI (and PSL). Inspired by Charles, and working together with our collaborators Jean Baptiste Boule at the Museum national d’Histoire naturelle and Paul Rainey at ESPCI, we are all learning and teaching each other a bunch of things at the interface between artificial intelligence and synthetic ecosystem devices with the aim to build an “hybrid” ecosystem-AI-machine. Dynamic light landscapes controlled by artificial intelligence can drive algae metapopulation dynamics. By building upon this basic idea, Charles is building a machine capable of generating dynamic light landscapes and also capable of studying the population dynamics of algae living on-chip and exposed to the light landscape generated by the machine.
